MightyMo/MiniMo User’s Guide 1-1
Part # 400030-C

Introduction
The DynaVox MightyMo/MiniMo is a sophisticated augmentative
communication tool with a dynamic, touch screen display that allows
an individual to quickly select words or phrases which are then
spoken by the device. MightyMo/MiniMo devices use recorded
speech.
The MightyMo and MiniMo contain several pre-programmed page
sets developed by a team of speech-language pathologists that
feature communication pages on a wide variety of topics. These
pages make it easy for communicators to initiate and hold
conversations with friends, family, education professionals and
clinicians. Individuals can communicate using one of the built-in page
sets, or create new sequences of communication pages.
The DynaVox MightyMo/MiniMo can be ordered with a choice of
recorded voices - male, female and gender-neutral child (this voice
was chosen at the time of purchase). In addition, individuals also
have the option of recording words, phrases and sentences in their
own voices.
The MightyMo/MiniMo can be tailored to the needs of an individual in
virtually any situation, since it offers a variety of methods for selecting
buttons or other items on the touch screen. The built-in selection
methods include touch selection (an item is selected when touched,
or when touch is removed), switch selection (an item is selected by
activating a switch) and mouse pause (an item is selected by pausing
a computer mouse over it). Each selection method has a variety of
settings to further tailor it to individual needs.
Other user interface features, including speaker volume, screen
brightness, date and time settings, the language in which the menu is
displayed, and which items appear on the title bar at the top of the
touch screen, can also be adjusted to suit the needs of the user.
