MightyMo/MiniMo User’s Guide 11-3
Part # 400030-C
Sharing Pages Chapter 11: Sharing Pages & Packages
Importing Pages from a
USB Storage Device
You can use a removable USB storage device to add pages from
another MightyMo/MiniMo device to your device.
2 Note: The MightyMo/MiniMo will automatically search for a removable
USB storage device or secondary storage card whenever you
begin any file sharing exercise. If a USB storage device is not
connected to one of the USB ports on the side of the device, the file
sharing activity cannot continue. You will be prompted to connect a
USB storage device or secondary storage card before continuing.
2 Note: If you plan to use a commercial USB storage device that has never
been used with your MightyMo/MiniMo device, save a copy of any
data on the USB storage device in a secure place and follow the
steps in Format a USB Storage Device on page 2-19. After that is
complete, copy the information back onto the USB storage device
(including the pages you want to import) and continue with this
task. This does not apply to the USB storage device that was
shipped with your MightyMo/MiniMo device.
!
Caution: Importing a page from one MightyMo/MiniMo to another does not
copy symbols or symbol sets. If you import a page that uses
symbols that are not present on your device, your device will
display the page with “image not found” in place of the missing
symbols. Refer to Selecting the Symbol Set on page 7-3 and
Modifying Buttons on page 6-4 for more information on buttons
and symbol sets.
!
Caution: During this procedure, you may be asked if you want to overwrite
current sound files on your device with imported sound files that
share the same name. Answering Yes will import all of the sounds
from the new source, which could result in current sound files being
incorrectly replaced on buttons that feature that those sound files.
Answering No will not import the specific sound file in question, but
you will be prompted to answer again for any subsequent sound
files with a naming conflict.
