Symbol Sets Chapter 7: Working with Symbols
Additionally, some of the DynaSyms (both Classic and New Edition)
may be displayed with animation. This feature can be activated or
deactivated using the Interface Features menu (see
Activate/Deactivate the Button Animation Feature on page 5-19).
Selecting the Symbol Set There are two different ways to select the active symbol set(s):
Symbol Set 2
PCS symbols This set contains 4000 symbols featuring
both color and black and white drawings.
They are particularly suited for those who are
starting to communicate with symbols. The
colored images are particularly motivating to
younger users.

1998 symbols
This set contains over 600 symbols which
include U.S. states, animals, history and
entertainment.

2000 symbols
This set contains over 1300 symbols which
include public signs, country symbols and
country flags.

2002 symbols
This set contains over 1200 new symbols
including bathroom skills, behavioral
problems and science categories.

2004 symbols
This set contains over 1000 new symbols,
including behavior, animals, food, health,
school, grooming and much more.
2 Note: One of these symbol sets (the group of your choosing) was loaded
onto your device at the time of your order, and will be displayed in
the Select Symbol Sets window. You may add other symbol sets to
your MightyMo/MiniMo device at any time by purchasing them from
DynaVox Technologies.
2 Note: Please note that symbol sets do require a significant amount of
system resources. The more symbol sets you have loaded into
your device, the less system resources will remain available for
voice recordings.
