Navigating Within a Page Set Chapter 3: Using DynaVox Language Application Page Sets
NAVIGATING WITHIN A PAGE SET
Navigating within a page set is simple. In each page set, the master
page includes a number of folder-shaped buttons. Each folder-
shaped button opens another page on the topic that is denoted in the
button’s symbol and/or label. Every other page in the set includes a
folder-shaped button that will return to the previously open page
(either a Go Back button or a button with the name of the previous
page) or will return to the master page (a Master Screen or Master
Page button).
Page sets that use the master page/chapter master strategy use
folder-shaped buttons to open pages known as chapter master
pages, which group together pages on related topics.
Additionally some page sets may include pages with tab controls. A
tab control enables a page to contain additional rows of buttons.
These additional rows of buttons can be accessed by selecting the
tabs that appear at the top of the main page. A page can have a total
of four tabs. This feature enables quick access to a large number of
buttons on related topics without having to jump to a different page.
About Page Navigation for
Added Pages
If a new page is added, it should be linked to a button on an existing
page that contains a Go to Page behavior. Also, the newly added
page itself should include a folder-shaped button with behavior to
enable a return to the page from which it is accessed. See Add or
Modify Button Behaviors on page 6-8 for information on setting up
the Go to Page and Page Back behaviors.
