Data Storage Cards Chapter 2: Hardware
DATA STORAGE CARDS
All MightyMo/MiniMo devices are shipped with a 256 MB
CompactFlash data storage card. This card is used to store all the
files and information you create and save on your device. To prevent
a loss of information in the event of a device failure, it is extremely
important to save changes to your device’s storage card after you
have added customized information to your device. This section
provides step-by-step instructions on saving information to the
primary storage card.
An empty card slot below the primary storage card provides room for
the installation of a secondary data storage card. A secondary
storage card would provide additional room for file storage on your
device. You can also use a secondary storage card storage device for
the following file-sharing activities:
• Sharing files between a computer and your MightyMo/MiniMo
device, or between two MightyMo/MiniMo devices (see Chapter
11: Sharing Pages & Packages)
• Storing backup copies of your MightyMo/MiniMo device system
files, and restoring your device using backup files (see Chapter
12: Backing Up, Restoring & Upgrading)
• Upgrading the software your MightyMo/MiniMo device (see
Upgrading Using a Secondary Storage Card on page 12-12)
Refer to Install a Secondary Storage Card on page 2-18 to learn
how to install a secondary storage card.
Save Information to the
Storage Card
Whenever you add new information (including new pages, changes
to existing pages, sounds and ECU commands) to your device, you
should save this information directly to your device’s storage card.
This will prevent a loss of information in the event of a device failure.
To save information to your MightyMo/MiniMo storage card, follow
these steps:
1. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
2. Select the Save Data to Card button.
3. Select the Yes button to confirm that you want to save your user
information to the storage card.
