Chapter 7: Working with Symbols Using the Select a Symbol Menu
• If the picture is already stored on your device, it should be in the
Images folder in the User Files folder.
8. Select the image’s name in the right viewport.
9. Select the OK button to close the Select a Picture File menu. The
system keyboard will open.
10. Use the system keyboard to enter a label for the symbol. Enter a
label name that you will be able to remember in the future, when
you to select the symbol for use on a button.
11. Select the OK button. The system keyboard will close and the
Modify Button menu will appear with the new symbol shown next
to the Symbol button. The label for the symbol will appear in the
Label text field.
12. Select the OK button to close the Modify Button menu. The digital
picture will appear as the symbol on the button you chose in step
3, and the label text will appear as the button label.
Your new symbol is saved as part of the My Symbols symbol set.
