Backing Up and Restoring User Data Chapter 12: Backing Up, Restoring & Upgrading
Backing Up to a USB Storage Device
You may back up data to a USB storage device connected to your
MightyMo/MiniMo device. This creates a backup file (.bck) on the
USB storage device.
To back up user data to a removable USB storage device, follow
these steps:
1. Connect the USB storage device to the USB host port on your
device (see the illustration on page 2-5 for the port locations).
2. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
3. Select the Backup/Upgrade button. The Backup Upgrade menu
will open.
4. Select the Mo Backup button.
5. Select the OK button to confirm that you want to back up your data.
The hourglass icon will appear while the software prepares to
create the backup file.
6. The Select File menu will open, with the Backup folder on the USB
storage device displayed in the left viewport.
2 Note: If you plan to use a commercial USB storage device that has never
been used with your MightyMo/MiniMo device, save a copy of any
data on the USB storage device in a secure place and follow the
steps in Format a USB Storage Device on page 2-19. After that is
complete, copy the information back onto the USB storage device
and continue with this task. This does not apply to the USB storage
device that was shipped with your MightyMo/MiniMo device.

2 Note: If a Backup folder does not exist on the USB storage device, the
software will create it.
2 Note: If both a USB storage device and secondary storage card are
connected to your device, the Select File menu will display the USB
storage device by default.
