PRINTHEAD ELECTRICAL ERROR (3)
Error name
Printhead fuse blown error (error code: 031006)
Cause
Occurs if the Printhead fuse has blown.
Suspected cause
Fuse blown due to overcurrent, etc.
Printhead failure
Printhead drive circuit failure in main board
Head FFC oblique insertion and protective solution leakage
Troubleshooting
PRINTHEAD ELECTRICAL ERROR (4)
Error name
VBS over-voltage error (error code: 031008)
Cause
Occurs when an abnormal voltage is applied to the head drive circuit
during printing.
Suspected cause
Head FFC oblique insertion and protective solution leakage
Printhead failure
Printhead drive circuit failure in main board
Troubleshooting
Step Check and measure Yes No

Visually check for solution leakage.
Check the Printhead FFC to make sure that there is
no solution leakage or discoloration.
Go to step 2
Replace the
Printhead and
Head FFC
Assy.

Visually check for the Head FFC connection
state.
Check the Head FFC to make sure that it is not
inserted obliquely or disconnected, and that all
connections are proper.
Go to step 3
Properly
connect the
Head FFC.
(Replace the
Head FFC,
if damaged.)

Replace the Printhead.
Does the error occur after replacing the Printhead?
Go to step 4 End

Replace the Main Board Assy.
Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board
Assy?
