3.3.6 Scanner / ADF Mechanism
3.3.6.1 Scanner Mechanism
The scanner mechanism consists of a CIS Module that scans documents and
SCN Motor that drives the Scanner Carriage.
The drive of the SCN Motor is transmitted to the Scanner Carriage by the
Scanner Timing Belt, which moves the CIS Module, and scans the draft.
Additionally, the CIS Module incorporates a Digital Translation Module. This
converts read data to a digital signal and sends it to the Main Board, thus
shortening data transfer time.
