FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTION
VOX - VOX gain control knob.
Rotate the VOX knob to set the level of VOX gain.
The VOX knob is only active when the VOX mode is switched on (more details in VOX
operation ).
Note:
(
VOX - the transmitting mode is switched on automatically by speaking in the microphone
(Voice-Operated Transmit).
COMP - Compression level knob.
Rotate the COMP knob to adjust the compression level of the transmitting signal.
The knob is active only for speech modes SSB and AM (more details in Compression level
adjusting ).
Note:
(
The compression function increases the average output power, while decreases pick-factor of
the transmitting signal.
27) DOUBLE KNOBS - AF, RF.
AF - AF Gain knob (LF gain).
Rotate the AF knob to set the required volume level (more details in Adjusting AF level ).
Note:

The AF knob controls the volume of all receivers (RX1, RX2, VFO A, VFO B).
You can set the volume for each of them in the local panel of the audio mixer (more details in
Audio signals routing ).
RF - RF Gain knob (receiver's AGC gain level).
Rotate the RF knob to adjust receiver's AGC gain level.
With the AGC is switched off, the knob will set the RF gain (more details in Adjusting the RF
gain ).
28) DOUBLE KNOBS - SHIFT, WIDTH, NB1, NB2, MULTI 2.
SHIFT - Shift knob of the receiving filter.
Rotate the SHIFT knob to shift receiving filter relatively to the tuned frequency.
