b. Select an option (Front USB or Rear USB) from the Secondary Recording
Destination: drop-down list. This designates which storage drive (if one is
connected at that location) is used to store a second copy of the recording.
4. If desired you can limit users to using just the one storage drive location selected in
step2 or the specified dual recording drives specified in step 3 (without the ability to
change locations). To do so, select (check) the Restricted Mode check box.
NOTE: If restricted mode is enabled (the Restricted Mode: check box is
selected and the setting is saved by clicking the Save button within the Default
Recording Destination panel) you cannot change any recording destination
settings or enable or disable dual recording mode until the restricted mode is
disabled and that setting is saved. Once restricted mode is disabled, then you can
make changes to the other settings, which are applied once they are saved.
5. Select the protocol or method to use for uploading completed recording files to a
server from the Upload Method drop-down list. Available choices are FTP, SFTP,
CIFS/Windows Net Share, and None (default).
• If you select None, click Save.
• If you select any other option, proceed to step 6.
6. Type the address of the destination server into the Server Address: field.
• For FTP and SFTP servers, the server address must be given as the resolvable
address of the server itself (for example, ftp.extron.com/ or 192.168.25.41). This
serves as the home level of the FTP server. It is an address that already exists
on the server and that the SMP351 has permission to access. The destination
directory (see step8) will be configured for a subdirectory within the home level
of the FTP server. The subdirectory must already have been created, and the
SMP351 must have permission to read, write, and delete files in that location.
