Note
For measurement accuracy it is important that the two-wire / four-wire
setting is correct. In particular, setting four-wire sensing but only
connecting two wires will cause voltage errors in the order of 1.2 V or
more. If you are not familiar with four-wire voltage sensing please read the
description in Chapter 3.
4-13. Rear-Panel Output Settings
The Rear-Panel Output Settings screen allows the sample reference signal to be turned on
and off. See the description of the relationship between this signal and the Phase
Reference in Chapter 7. See Figure 4-7.
This pop up screen also controls the Reference Clock Output option (if fitted). The
Reference Clock Out option provides a reference signal derived from the master
processor clock frequency and may be used to synchronize systems to the 6100B. The
reference may be switched between off, 10 MHz, and 20 MHz.
