4-12. Front-Panel Terminals
Push the Front Panel Terminals softkey to open the pop-up screen for configuring the
voltage terminals. The current binding posts selections apply only when the 50 A option
is fitted. Currents up to 21 A can be routed through the normal 4 mm binding posts or, if
preferred, through the same terminals that provide the 50 A output (lower terminals). The
individual phases can be configured individually or all together. Figure 4-6 shows the
front-panel terminal configuration screen.

Note
The two-wire / four-wire configurations apply to all connected Master and
Auxiliary units. See Figure 4-2. Select two or four wire using the soft keys,
with the Up/Down keys or the scroll wheel when the voltage binding posts
group has focus. Two wire is the initial default setting but the setting is
non-volatile, meaning that, if four wire is selected, the next time the
instrument is powered up it will be in four-wire mode. Push to return to
the previous soft key level.
XWWarning
The voltage sense binding posts are at output potential even
when two wire is selected.
The Instrument is provided with a four to two wire lead set for
voltage. Irrespective of two-wire / four-wire configuration the
four plugs at the 6100B end of the lead should always be
plugged in when the lead is in use. The sense wires will always
be at the same potential as the output wires.
