Preparations
This section describes the prerequisites to use the IP fax (SIP) feature on the machine.
System Requirements for the Machine

IP Fax (SIP) Kit (optional)

The machine is connected to the intranet.
The following equipment can also be used but not required.

SIP server
z
VoIP gateway (to communicate with a G3 fax machine connected to the public phone
line)
z
For more information about the SIP server and VoIP gateway, contact your system administrator.
z
Another optional component is required to use the IP Fax (SIP) feature for some models.
