Manual Adjust Paper Registration
This section describes manual adjustment of the printout image position.
You can adjust the alignment of the images to print on the paper (Perpendicularity, Slow
Scan %, and Lead/Side Registration) for each tray.
Adjust the position of an output image when it is misaligned as a result of conditions such
as paper expansion or contraction, cutting accuracy, or paper storage.
Adjust the position of the output images with the Adjust Paper Registration settings.

Output paper for the Adjust Paper Registration is counted for the number of printed pages. For more
information, refer to "Billing Information" (P.150).

When using a smart card authentication system such as IC Card Gate, you may be requested authentication
before printing or scanning the adjustment chart.
Types of Paper Registration Adjustment
You can adjust the position of output images on the machine as follows:
When adjusting multiple types of misalignments, adjust them in the following order:
Perpendicularity > Slow Scan % > Lead/Side Registration
Perpendicularity
Adjust the distortion of an image.
Slow Scan %
Adjust the size (scale) of the output image in the slow scan direction (paper feed direction).
Lead/Side Registration
Adjust the position of the image in the paper feed direction (lead registration) and in the
vertical direction in relation to the paper feed direction (side registration).
Adjust this, for example, when the images on sides 1 and 2 are misaligned.
Manual Adjust Paper Registration Settings
Adjust Perpendicularity, Slow Scan %, or Lead/Side Registration for each tray.

Load paper in a tray.

Press the <Log In/Out> button and enter the system administration mode.

Select [Tools] on the Services Home screen.

Select [System Settings] > [Common Service Settings] > [Maintenance].

Select [Adjust Paper Registration].
