The Waveform Measurement Process
Building a histogram
Once a data record is available, the measurement process builds a histogram
of the distribution of the internal voltage levels as shown in Figure 7-3. The
histogram does not represent the full resolution of the data, however,as
this would result in a very large histogram array. The instrument uses the
histogram to determine the statistical maximum (top) and minimum (base) of
the data record.
