The Waveform Measurement Process
NOTE
When histogram or color graded database is turned on, the acquisition data is stored rst in the
internal database. Measurements are made on the data in the database for both histogram and color
graded database.
Calculating
min and
max
from
the
data
record
As
it represents
the
full
resolution
of
the
signal,
the
absolute
maximum
and
minimum voltage
levels
are
determined
from
the
data
record.
If
the
waveform
is
clipped,
this
information
is
also
recorded.
After
the minimum
and
maximum
measurements
are
complete
,
the
Vmin,
Vmax,
Vp-p,
Tmin,
Tmax,
and
Tvolt
measurements
can
be
made
.
The
remaining primitives
of
the
measurement
process
(calculate
thresholds
,
nd
edge
,
and period)
are
executed
only
if
other
measurements
,
such
as
fall
time,
frequency,
or
delta
time
,
are
requested.
