Chapter 6. Operating POS I/O devices
This chapter describes and illustrates the input/output (I/O) POS devices on the
SurePOS 700 and describes how to operate them.
Displays
Figure 104 shows the available character displays.
v The 40-character VFD A and 40-character LCD C each display two lines of
20 characters per line.
v The character/graphics display D can display two lines of 20 characters per line
in single-byte mode; it can display two lines of 10 characters per line in
double-byte mode, and image data at 160 dots (horizontally) by 36 dots
(vertically).
v The 40-character VFD can be configured with a display on two sides B.
Figure 105 on page 104 shows the available CRT display. The terminal can have a
9-in. monochrome display A. You can integrate the display with the terminal or
place it separately in another location, using either the wedge mount or the post
mount.
