Chapter 3. Installing internal options
This section describes the installation procedures for the internal options for
SurePOS Models 721/741/781 and 722/742/782.
Attention: When working inside the unit, be sure to observe the guidelines for
personal grounding. For more information, see “Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) statement” on page 127.
Note:
UPS batteries have a 3-year life expectancy. Make a note of the date the
battery is installed or replaced. A qualified

person can replace the battery.
NVRAM batteries are typically good for the life of the product.
Cover removal procedures
Note: This section is provided for installation procedures that are not a part of an
initial setup.
The following steps apply to all models and to both the wide and narrow features.
The covers consists of the following parts:
v Front bezel
v Hinged rear door
v Top cover
