Figure 17. This figure shows how to install a hammer spring assembly onto the hammer bank.
Use new screws from the kit.
Starting with the inner screws,
torque the screws to 14 inch-pounds
(1.58 Newton-meters).

Spring Assembly
NOTE: The hammer spring assembly shown here is
for a 6500-v15 printer. Although the number of
hammer springs and mounting screws varies
among printer models, removal and installation are
the same on all models.
Gently press down on the mounting
base and hold the hammer spring in
position as you install the screws.
