12.3 Windows host attachment
In this section, we cover Windows host attachment for Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI and FCoE.
12.3.1 Windows 2012 R2 Fibre Channel volume attachment
The equipment we have for demonstrating volume attachment for a Fibre Channel (FC)
capable server is an IBM Flex System x240 Compute Node running Microsoft Windows 2012
Standard (Version 6.2.9200 Build 9200), two IBM Flex System FC3171 8Gb SAN Switches,
and one IBM Flex System V7000 Storage Node. All are installed in a single IBM Flex System
Enterprise Chassis.
To perform Fibre Channel volume attachment in Windows 2012, complete the following steps:
1. Right-click your Windows 2012 Fibre Channel host in the All Hosts view (Figure 12-3) and
select Properties.
