NOTE:Everysixmonthsorsooner,asnecessary,takeyourwheelchairtoaqualifiedtechnicianfor
athoroughinspectionandservicing.Regularcleaningwillreveallooseorwornpartsandenhance
thesmoothoperationofyourwheelchair.Tooperateproperlyandsafely,yourwheelchairmustbe
caredforjustlikeanyothervehicle.Routinemaintenancewillextendthelifeandefficiencyofyour
wheelchair.
Maintenance
WARNING
After adjustments and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is securely
tightened, otherwise injury or damage may result.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten hardware attaching to the frame. This could cause damage to
the frame tubing.
Suggested Maintenance Procedures
1. Beforeusingthewheelchair,makesureallnutsandboltsaretight.Checkallpartsfor
damageorwearandreplace.Checkallpartsforproperadjustment.
WARNING
DO NOT use WD-40, 3-in-1 oil, or other penetrating lubricants on quick-release
axles. Otherwise, binding and/or damage to the wheelchair may occur.
2. Clean/oilquick‐releaseaxlesonceaweekwithaTeflon™lubricant.
3. Periodicallycheckthebackfolddownmechanismstoensurethattheylocktheback
securelyinplace.Ifthebackdoesnotlockproperly,takethewheelchairtoaqualified
technicianfordisassembly,cleaning,orreplacementofthelocking
mechanism.WARNING
WARNING
DO NOT use the wheelchair unless it has the proper tire pressure (p.s.i.). DO NOT
overinflate the tires. Failure to follow these suggestions may cause the tire to
explode and cause bodily harm.
