NOTE: If you need to mount the switch in a recessed posion on two posts of either a two-post
rack or a four-post rack, you can use the 2-in.-recess front-mounng brackets provided in the
separately orderable four-post rack-mount kit.
NOTE: One person must be available to li the switch while another secures the switch to the
rack.
CAUTION: If you are mounng mulple switches on a rack, mount a switch in the
boom of the rack rst and proceed to mount the rest of the switches from boom to
top.
To mount the switch on two posts of a rack:
1. Place the switch on a at, stable surface.
2. Align the mounng brackets along the front, rear, or center of the side panels of the switch chassis
depending on how you want to mount the switch. For example, if you want to front-mount EX4300
switches except EX4300-48MP and EX4300-48MP-S switches, align the brackets along the front of
the side panel (see Figure 54 on page 174). If you want to front-mount an EX4300-48MP or
