Field Descripon
Factory Reset/Mode buon Displays the Factory Reset/Mode buon, which is used
to reset the switches to the factory-default
conguraon.
Extension module slot Displays a slot for installing an oponal extension
module. Extension modules are hot-insertable and hot-
removable eld replaceable units (FRUs).
Rear View
Management port The management port (em0) is used to connect the
switch to a management device for out-of-band
management.
Virtual Chassis ports The QSFP28 ports are congured as Virtual Chassis
ports (VCPs) by default. You can congure them as
network ports and operate them as 100 GbE network
ports by using QSFP28 transceivers.
Console port The Console port (RJ-45) labeled as CON is used to
connect the switch to a management console or to a
console server.
USB port Indicates the USB port for the switch.
NOTE: We recommend that you use USB ash drives
purchased from Juniper Networks for your EX Series
switch.
Mini USB port Indicates the mini USB port for the switch.
Power supply Mouse over the power supply icon to display name,
status, and descripon informaon.
