VCCPD System Log Messages
This chapter describes messages with the VCCPD prefix. They are generated by the virtual
chassis control protocol (vccpd) process which exchanges link-state advertisement
based discovery messages between all the packet forwarding engines (PFE) through
the virtual chassis ports (VCP).
VCCPD_KNL_VERSION
System Log Message Routing socket version mismatch (kernel kernel-version != vccpd version) -- kernel upgrade
required
Description The virtual chassis control protocol process (VCCPD) discovered that the kernel does
not support the version of routing sockets it requires.
Type Error: An error occurred
Severity error
Facility LOG_DAEMON
Cause The kernel version is older than the VCCPD version.
Action Upgrade the kernel package.
VCCPD_KNL_VERSIONNONE
System Log Message Routing socket message type message-type's version is not supported by kernel, expected
version -- kernel upgrade required
Description The virtual chassis control protocol process (VCCPD) discovered that the kernel does
not support the routing socket message types that it requires.
