8.5.4 Switching off the generator
Precondition The electric consumers are switched off.
The plugs are removed.

Thermal overload of the turbo generator.
Stopping the machine abruptly after the generator has been in operation for some time can
cause heat damage to the generator.
➤ Allow the motor to run for about 2 minutes in idle before shutting down to allow the genera‐
tor to cool down.
2. Turn the «generator main switch» to the "0" position.
The motor runs in IDLE and the generator can cool down.
After running about 2 minutes in IDLE, the generator has cooled down sufficiently for the en‐
gine to be stopped.

Operating the battery isolating switch
Danger of short circuit!
Damage to the machine electrical system is possible.
➤ Use the «Battery isolating switch» only when the machine is switched off.
➤ Do not use the «Battery isolating switch» as a main or emergency switch!
