Checking Bearing
1. Hold the inner race, and push and pull the outer race in all
directions to check for wear and roughness.
2. Apply transmission fluid to the bearing, and hold the inner race.
Then turn the outer race to check rotation.
3. If there is any defect, replace it.

Clearance between Gear and Spline
1. Secure the gear with a vise.
2. Set a dial indicator (lever type) with its finger on the spline.
3. Move the shaft to measure the clearance.
4. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace them.

1. Place for in the groove to check clearance with feeler gauge.
2. If the clearance exceeds allowable limit, replace.
