STEERING
[2] OIL FLOW
W1013559
1. Power steering hydraulic pump (4), driven by the engine, sucks oil from transmission case (1), and it delivers the
pressured oil to steering controller (7) through the regulator valve (5).
2. The oil which has entered steering controller (7) is directed to control valve (9). As the steering wheel (10) is turned,
control valve (9) operates, and into steering cylinder (12). The cylinder rod then moves to control the directional
movement of the front wheels.
3. Oil returned from steering cylinder (12) passes through control valve (9) and returns back into the regulator valve
(5).
4. When the engine is not operating, and the steering wheel is turned, gerotor (11) rotates to supply oil in the hose to
the steering cylinder (12). Thus the machine can be steered manually. Under this condition, check valve (6) opens,
and oil returning from the steering cylinder, which would otherwise return to transmission case (1), flows to the hose
leading to the hydraulic pump.
