(2) Relief Valve (Power Steering)
Power Steering Relief Valve Setting Pressure
1. Disconnect the power steering delivery pipe joint bolt.
2. Install the adaptor 1 (5) and the adaptor 2 (6) to the regulator
valve, and then set the thread joint (7), the cable (8) and the
pressure gauge.
3. Start the engine and set the engine speed at max. speed.
4. Fully turn the steering wheel to the left or right and read the
pressure when the relief valve functions.
5. Stop the engine.
6. If the pressure is not within the factory specifications, check the
pump delivery line, adjust the relief valve by the adjusting screw
(1), or repair the power steering.
(Reference)
• Install the spring (4) and check valve (3) firmly.
• Install the copper washers firmly.
Condition
• Engine speed : Maximum
• Oil temperature : 40 to 60 °C (104 to 140 °F)
