Withvehiclemanagementandcontrol(V-MAC)IV ,theoperatorhastheabilitytoprecisely
controlenginespeed(RPM)andsetcruisecontrolspeeds,aswellassettingtheenginelow
idlespeed.Thesefunctionsareperformedbyusingthespeedcontrolswitcheslocatedonthe

Thespeedcontrolfunctionsofthevehiclemanagementandcontrol(V-MAC)IVsystemare
verysimilartothecruisecontrolsfoundonmostautomobiles.Thesystemwillmaintain
asetspeedandwillallowaccelerationanddecelerationthroughthesystemswitches.
Cruisecontrolcanbeenabledordisabledusingcustomerdataprogramming,included
intheVCADSsoftware.
Tosetthecruisecontrolfornormalhighwayoperation,thefollowingconditionsmustbemet.
1Vehicleroadspeedmustbeabovethecustomer-programmablespeedvalue24–56
kph(15to35mph).
2Theserviceandparkingbrakemustnotbeapplied.
3Theclutchmustbeengaged(pedalreleased).
