Turnthecoolingsystempressurecap
counterclockwiseslowly.Afterthe
pressurehascompletelydissipated,
continueturningtoremovethecap.
TheMACK®chassishasapressurizedplasticcoolantexpansiontankwherequickchecks
ofcoolantlevelcanbemadeandadditionalcoolantcanbeaddedtothesystem.The
expansiontankismountedontheradiator.
Periodically,thecoolantlevelshouldbecheckedbyobservingthecoolantintheexpansion
tank.

DrainingtheCoolingSystem
Wheneverrepairsaretobemadewhichwouldrequiredisconnectionofcoolanthoses,
etc.,thecoolingsystemshouldbedrained.Carefullyremovethellercapandopenall
coolantdraincocks.
RellingtheCoolingSystem
ClosealldraincocksandllonlywiththeproperVCScoolantmixture.Runenginewith
thepressurecapremoveduntiloperatingtemperatureisreachedandthethermostatopens.
Rechecklevelandaddcoolantifrequired.Runtheenginelongenoughtobesurethesystem
isfreeofairandhasthecorrectamountofcoolant.
