SeatBeltOperation
MACKvehiclesareequippedwithlockingretractableseatbelts.
ForallseatingpositionsinyourMACKvehicle,thistypeofseatbeltisacombination
lapandshoulderbelt.
Thistypeofbeltisdesignedtolock(preventbelttraveloutoftheretractor)onlyduring
s
uddenstopsorimpacts.Thisfeatureallowstheoperatortomovefreelyundernormal
conditions.
FasteningSeatBelt
1Pullclipsothebeltcrossesyourshoulderandlapandinsertitintothebuckleuntil
anaudiblesnapisheard.
2Makesuretheclipissecurelyfastenedintothebuckle.
3Totightenthelapportionofthecombinationbelt,pullupwardontheshoulderportion
untilthelapportiontssnugly.Thebeltshouldrestaslowonyourhipsaspossible.
DANGER
Neverweartheshoulderportionofthe
beltunderyourarmorbehindyourback.
Improperusewillincreaseyourchancesof
injuryduringacollision.
DANGER
Topreventpossibleinjurythebeltmustbe
positionedlowoverthepelvis,belowthe
abdomen.Ifthebeltisbuckledtoohigh,
itwillapplyforcetotheabdomen,not
thepelvicregion,andcouldcauseserious
internalinjuriesduringasuddenstop.
