(SCR)tomeetemissions.Thesesystemsaredesignedtorequireverylittledriverinterface
tomaintaincorrectoperation.TheDPFtechnologyutilizesapassiveregeneration;requiring
nofueltobeinjectedtocleantheDPFandanactiveregeneration(fuelisinjected)toclean
outtheDPFproducingveryhighexhaustoutlettemperatures.Certainvocationalduty
cycleswillrequiretheuseoffueland/oraparkedregenerationtocleanoutbuilt-upsoot
intheparticulatelter.Exhausttemperatureswillincreaseduringaparkedregeneration.

materials,vaporsorstructures.

Thetemperatureoftheexhaustsystem
componentsduringtheregeneration
processcanexceed350degreesC(660
F).Theexhaustgasleavingthesystem
canreach505degreesC(930F).V arious
factors(includingambienttemperature
anddurationoftheregenerationprocess)
determinewhenthesecomponentswill
returntonormaloperatingtemperature
afterregenerationhascompleted.

hotcomponents.Contactwiththese
componentscanresultinseriouspersonal
injury.
