temperatureofallengineparts.Quickshutdownscancauseenginedamageandprevent

GeneralObservation
Makeitahabitatstopstowalkaroundyourtruckandlookforfuel,oilandcoolantleaks.
Alsochecktheconditionoftyres,wheelnuts,springsandlights.Stoptroublebeforeit
stopsyou!
STARTINGTHEVEHICLE
GeneralInformation
Beforeputtingthekeyintheignitionswitch,settheparking(spring)brake,disengagethe
clutch(ifequipped)andputthetransmissioninNEUTRAL.
CAUTION
Donotengagethestartingmotortoosoon
afteranincompletestartoftheengine,or
thestartermaybedamaged.Waitatleast
vesecondsbeforeattemptingtorestart
theengine.
CAUTION
Donotrevtheengineatstart-up.
Turbochargerdamagemayresultbecause
lubricantsneedtimetoestablishalm
betweenmovingparts.
CAUTION
Iftheenginedoesnotstartimmediately,
limitcrankingperiodsto30seconds
toavoidoverheatinganddamagingthe
starter.
WARNING
Makesureclutchisdepressedand
transmissionisinneutralbeforeengaging
