7.Unlockthefthwheel.
8.Pullthetractoraheadslightly(approximatelytwelveinches)sothatthekingpin
disengagesthefthwheeljaws.
9.Ifequippedwithanairsuspension,usetheaircontrolswitchtoexhausttheairfrom
thesuspensionairbags.
10.Pullthetractoraheaduntilthefthwheelisoutfromunderthetrailer.Stopthetractor
withframeunderthetrailer.Thispreventsthetrailerfromfallingshouldthelandinggear
collapseorsinkintotheground.
11.Placethetransmissioninneutralandapplytheparkingbrakes.
12.Inspecttheparkedtrailertomakesurethegroundissupportingthetrailerandthe
landinggearisnotdamaged.
13.Ifequippedwithanairsuspension,usetheairsuspensioncontrolswitchtoreinate
thesuspensionairbags.
14.Releasetheparkingbrakesanddrivethetractorforwarduntilthetractorisclearof
thetrailer.
CAUTION
Ifequippedwithanairsuspension,doNOT
operatethevehiclewiththesuspension
airbagsdeated.Alwaysreinatethe
suspensionairbagsaftercouplingor
uncouplingatrailer.
