Suggested Circuit Protection and Wire Size
In order to comply with most safety standards, circuit protective devices should be used between the incoming
three-phase power supply and the IMPULSE
®
•G+ & VG+ Series 4. These devices can be thermal, magnetic, or
molded-case circuit breakers (MCCB); or “slow-blow” type time-delay fuses.
NOTE: The following are recommendations based on the rated capacity of the VFD. Per NEC guidelines, circuit
protection and wiring can be selected based on the capacity of the motor.
