" BA SIDE IMPACT SENSOR INSTALLATION
Caution
The side impact sensor, unless properly installed, does
not operate properly, thereby resulting in serious injury
or death of the vehicle's occupants.
" CA POST-INSTALLATION INSPECTION
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Does the SRS warning lamp illuminate for about 7 seconds
and go off for 5 seconds or more?
3. YES: The system is working properly.
NO: Go to Troubleshooting. (Refer to P.52B-8.)
INSPECTION
If any malfunction is found in the following inspections, replace
the side impact sensor(s) with new one(s).
1. Check the side impact sensors for dents, cracks,
deformation and rust.
2. Check the connector for damage and the terminals for
deformation.
3. Check the center pillar or quarter panel, inner for
deformation and rust.
