Caution
Pull the seat belt out the outside of the tyre, and
then place one tyre without a wheel on top of the
existing tyre.
(6) Place three old tyres without wheels on top of the
tyre secured to the seat belt pre-tensioner.
(7) Disconnect the deployment harnesses as far from the
seat belt pre-tensioner as possible and connect the
wires to the terminals of the battery removed from
the vehicle, and operate.
Caution
1) Before the operation, be sure that no one is
near the seat belt pre-tensioner.
2) The operation of the seat belt pre-tensioner
makes itself very hot. Before handling the seat
belt pre-tensioner, wait more than 30 minutes
for cooling.
3) If the seat belt pre-tensioner fails to deploy
when the procedures above are followed, do
not go near the seat belt pre-tensioner. Contact
your local distributor.
(8) After operation of the seat belt pre-tensioner, discard
as specified in the procedure (Refer to P.52B-60).
