Use the Optimize print quality wizard
Introduction
The off-line screen of the printer operator panel contains the 'Optimize print
quality' wizard that helps you to correct the problems with the output quality.
The wizard performs the following actions:
■ Calibration
■ Recover a nozzle failure
■ Align the printheads for the selected media type.
Define the settings for automatic calibration, nozzle failure detection, and
printhead alignment in the Océ Settings Editor. See the on-line help within the
Océ Settings Editor application. You can start the calibration, nozzle failure
detection and printhead alignment from the printer operator panel.
During the 'Optimize print quality' wizard, the system performs an alignment.
The alignment requires the use of media. Make sure at least one roll of media
is loaded before you enter the 'Optimize print quality' wizard.
When to do
Before you start the 'Optimize print quality' wizard, first check the following:
■ Did you use the correct media type?
■ Did you use the correct print mode?
Only start the wizard when you are sure that you used the correct media type
and the correct print mode and if the output quality is still not satisfactory.
