2.6.4 4AO Module - Analog Outputs
The 4AO module has four optically isolated analog outputs with an internal power supply and current
output options of 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA (current loop load of up to 500 Ohm), 0-1 mA and ±1 mA (2mA
100% overload, current loop load of up to 5 kOhm).

It is recommended to connect unused Analog output channels to Common terminal.
• The 4AO module TERMINAL is for use only with equipment which has no live parts which are
ACCESSIBLE
• The RATING of the insulation of the external equipment for use with the 4AO module, shall
comply according to Installation Category II for insulation to be suitable for SINGLE FAULT
CONDITION
• The external equipment TERMINAL connection type is normally terminal block for wire size 14
AWG (up to 1.5 mm
2
)
• The type of equipment that might be connected to the TERMINAL is:
o Programmable Logic Controller for automation – PLC
o Digital or Analog meter
