Subsection 01 (OVERVIEW)
Intake Manifold
The intake manifold is mounted on the RH side
of the cylinder block. It provides support for the
fuel injectors, the fuel rail, the ECM, the flame
arrester and the throttle body. The intake manifold
is a resonator between the throttle body and the
cylinder head.

Flame Arrester
The flame arrester is a tube inside the intake mani-
fold. It prevents flames leaving through the intake
system if the engine backfires.
