The CDHD supports either one 16-bit analog input or two 14-bit analog input s.
Both types of inputs are differential.
N ote: One of the digits in the CDHD part number indicates whether the drive
supports one or two analog inputs.
The analog input is used to send com mands to the drive by means of analog
voltage. The analog com mands can control the velocity of the m otor or the
current to the motor. Analog comm ands can be used when the CDHD is
operating in Analog Velocity m ode (OPMODE 1) or Analog Current m ode
(OPMODE 3).
Use the ServoStudio Analog I n put 1 pane ( and Analog I nput 2 if available) in
t he Ana log I Os screen to set the analog input properties and to m onit or the
input value.

Analog I nput 1 serves as the analog comm and for the Analog Velocity
( OPMODE 1) and Analog Current (OPMODE 3) operating m odes. This
functionality cannot be changed.
The following param eters are used t o configure and m onit or analog input 1.

ANI N1OFFSET The DC voltage offset on the analog input.
ANI N1DB The deadband range of analog input 1.
ANI N1LPFHZ A low-pass filter applied to the analog input.
ANI N1 The voltage at the analog input. Read only.
ANI N1ZERO
Causes the value of the analog input 1 signal to become 0
by modifying the analog offset value.

N ote: Analog 2 is not available on all drive models.
When a second analog input is available on the drive, Analog Input 2 can be
used as an analog current limit. In such a configuration, the param eter
ANI N2SCALE is used to set the scaling of the current limit, in units of amperes
per volt.

ANI N2MODE Defines the functionality of the second input.
ANI N2LPFHZ
This value is a low-pass filter applied to the analog input.
This is useful for filtering high frequency noise from the
input, or for limiting the rate of change of that signal.
ANI N2OFFSET The DC volt age offset on t he analog input.
