To connect the CDHD to the host com puter via serial communication, you will
need one of the following:
 USB 2.0 A to Mini-B cable ( USB int erface)
 4p4c plug and cable (RS232 interface)
To connect the CDHD to the host computer or host PLC via fieldbus:
 RJ45 cables (CAN interface or Et herCAT)

The following com put er syst em and soft ware are required:
 2 GHz CPU
 1 GB RAM
 1000 MB available on hard drive (after .net 4 is installed)
 Com m unication interface for connection t o t he drive; one of the following:
 USB port
 USB port and USB-to-RS232 adaptor with ferrite bead
 RS232 port
 Operating system: Windows XP-SP3, Windows 7, Windows 8.
32-bit or 64-bit.
 Recom mended screen resolution for ServoStudio is 1280x800.
Minimal resolution is 1024x768.
 Se rvoStudio, the graphical soft ware int erface for configuring and testing
the drive. Download from the Servotronix websit e or contact Technical
Support.

.NET Fram ework System Requirements). I f .NET
4 is not installed on the computer, ServoStudio will guide you through the
installation, but will not install it autom atically.
N ote: Som e edit ions of Windows 8 require digitally signed drivers.
ServoStudio includes an unsigned USB driver. To install the USB driver,
you m ust first disable driver signature verification (

 XM L file for CDHD (if using EtherCAT protocol) on the host com puter or PLC

Support.
