Va rCom De script ion
MSPEED The maximum motor speed, as defined in the motor datasheet.
VMAX
This value is the m aximum velocity for a drive and m ot or
combination. VMAX is based on m axim um m ot or speed. Read
only.
VLI M
The maximum application velocity. This param eter lets you limit
the m ot or’s m axim um velocit y to a value lower than VMAX.
7 .7 Position Lim its
Position lim its are m odified and/ or confirm ed in Step 3 of the Mot or Setup
wizard.
The ServoStudio Lim it s-Posit ion task screen allows you to define position
lim its.
The following param eters are used to define positioning limit mechanisms and
error t olerances.

PEMAX
The m axim um position error allowed without producing a
fault, in counts.
PEI NPOS The window of t olerance for declaring an “in position” stat e.
I NMODE # 5
Defines digital input # as the signal that indicates whether
the position lim it has been reached in the positive direct ion.
I NMODE # 6
Defines digital input # as the signal that indicates whether
the position lim it has been reached in the negat ive direction.
LI MSWITCHPOS
LI MSWI TCHNEG
Indicate the status of all positive and negative lim it events.
Read only.
POSLI MMODE
Enables and disables the use of software position lim its
and/ or tra nsient position limits and/ or hom in g limits.
POSLI MPOS
POSLI MNEG
The m aximum and minim um values, in count s, for the
software position lim its.
7 .8 Mot or Direction
When the m otion com m and is positive, the direction of m otion can be explicitly
reversed. The positive direction for a rotary motor, for exam ple, can be either
clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the application requirem ent s.
Motion direction is tested and/ or reversed and/ or confirm ed in Ste p 4 of the
Motor Setup wizard.
The following param eters are used t o define m ot or direction:

The feedback positive direct ion. When DI R= 1, param eter V
is inverted and the positive direction of PFB is inverted.
Motor rotat ion is not changed.
