5 .5 Mecha nical I nsta llation
5 .5 .1 Mount ing t he CD H D
Using the bracket on the back of the CDHD, m ount the CDHD on a grounded
conductive metal panel. The panel must be sufficiently rigid.
For m ounting dim ensions, refer to Figure 3-1.
5 .5 .2 Mount ing Mult iple Units
When multiple CDHD units are mounted side- by-side within a cabinet or
enclosure, the recommended minimum spacing between units is 10 mm . The
recom mended top and bottom clearance is 50 m m for all CDHD m odels.
It is im portant to m aintain an ambient tem perature within the enclosure that
does not exceed 45° C. If CDHD units are m ounted on a backplane, also m ake
sure the backplane temperature does not exceed 45° C. It is recom mended that
a cooling fan be inst alled at the bott om of the cabinet for best circulation.
