6.2 Precautions
A careful and scheduled maintenance assures to the operator a machine
always reliable and safe.
For this reason, after operating in particular conditions (muddy or dusty
fields, hard work, etc.) it’s suggested to wash, grease and execute a proper
maintenance on the machine.
Always check that every component is in good condition, without oil losses,
that the protection and safety devices are in good working order. On the
contrary, find out the cause and fix them.
The operations of planned maintenance are based even on the machine’s
working hours.
Failure to comply with the scheduled maintenance indicated in this manual
will invalidate SICMA SRL’s warranty.
When performing maintenance or repair operations, observe the following:
- Never use gasoline, solvents or flammable substances for cleaning.
-
Do not dispose of products used for cleaning, maintenance and repair,
such as coolants, into the environment.
-
To access the highest parts of the machine, use means suitable for the
operations to be carried out.
-
After completing the maintenance operations, refit and properly secure
all the protection devices and safety guards that have been removed
or opened.
-
When carrying out maintenance, always keep the work area perfectly
clean and clear of objects and tools.
-
Secure the lifted component firmly and safely before performing any
maintenance work that involves lifting a component.
