Machine transport and handling
4.2.3 Anchoring to the transport vehicle
After properly loading the machine onto the transport vehicle, secure it
properly as follows:
A) apply chocks to the front and rear of both wheels of the machine (see
Figure 33);
B) anchor the machine to the bed with suitable chains, wire ropes or lashing
straps to prevent the machine from accidental shifting during transport.
DANGER
RISK OF OVERTURNING
Incorrect anchoring of the machine may cause the load to shift, resulting in
personal injury and/or property damage.
Use chains, wire ropes or anchor straps with safety hooks and appropriate
tensioners.
It is forbidden to use ropes to fasten the machine to the transport vehicle; the
rope could come loose as a result of the tension caused by acceleration, with
sudden loosening of the fastening.
