User and maintenance manual - SEMI-MOUNTED HARVESTER WITH TRUNK SHAKER - TR80
Rev. 0 - 05/2021
WARNING
When moving on the road, the machine must be carried by the transport
vehicle with the head resting on the bed and the telescopic arm retracted
and lowered.
DANGER
To carry out the machine loading and unloading procedures, the presence
of two operators is mandatory; one operator stands on the ground and, at a
safe distance, uses the remote control and the other driving the tractor that
pulls the machine.
Both operators must be trained and qualified to use the harvester.
DANGER
When you use the remote control during loading and unloading the machine,
make sure in advance that batteries are fully charged by means of the charge
indicator (led light) placed on the remote control itself.
4.2.1 Loading of the machine by means of a ramp
• Secure the wheels of the transport vehicle with wheel chocks.
• Set up the ramp (or two individual ramps, one for each wheel of the
machine) as indicated above.
• Connect the machine to a tractor to load it (*).
ATTENTION
Before loading, make sure that there are no obstacles on the same platform
that could hinder loading.
In order to load and unload the machine correctly on the transport vehicle, it
is necessary to have a loading ramp or an electric/hydraulic lifting platform
to reach the loading bed.
In case of use of loading ramp:
• Install the ramp in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the machine
and the tractor to which it is attached can be aligned with that of the
transport vehicle.
• Secure the ramp with the truck/trailer bed to prevent sudden release.
• The ramp must be on level ground.
DANGER
Use only suitable and certified ramps, making sure that their nominal load
capacity is adequate for the gross weight of the machine and the tractor to
which it is connected.
In case of use of electro/hydraulic lifting platform:
• Check beforehand that the platform capacity is sufficient to support the
weight of the machine and of the tractor to which it is connected, with
a safety margin, and that the dimensions of the platform are greater
than the overall dimensions of the machine in transport configuration.
• Make sure that the machine and the tractor are stable and locked on
the platform during lifting and lowering.
• Position the machine and tractor correctly on the platform so that their
longitudinal axis can be aligned with that of the transport vehicle.
CAUTION
Before moving the machine, check that there are no deposits of grease, oil,
soil, ice or other slippery substances or solvents on the floor of the transport
vehicle or on the ramps.
