User and maintenance manual - SEMI-MOUNTED HARVESTER WITH TRUNK SHAKER - TR80
Rev. 0 - 05/2021
5.5 Operation
The harvesting of the product (hanging fruits in general) is done by shaking
the perennial organs (trunk or branches) on which it is located, so that it can
fall by detachment with or without a stalk.
Once the organ to be clamped and vibrated has been identified, it is necessary
to position the machine near the tree and, thanks to the telescopic arm, bring
the jaws in correspondence with the trunk or the primary branches of the tree.
The double jaws vibrating head enables the clamping of the wooden organ
to be shaken.
The removal of fruits fallen on the ground (on the nets or other device) is
carried out by authorized personnel, after the vibration of the wooden organ,
when it is safely turned off or is no longer in the area near the vibrated tree.
The machine can be equipped with an optional reverse umbrella which, once
opened under the tree canopy, acts as an interceptor of fallen fruit thanks to
vibration. For more information on the reverse umbrella, see paragraph “9.
Optional accessories” pag. 149.
At the end of the vibration, the head releases the woody organ by operating
the control that widens the jaws of the vibrating head itself.
Only when the vibrating head is fully extended and no longer in contact with
the bark of the tree, can the telescopic arm be retracted and then lowered,
before moving the tractor so that the machine comes away from the tree.
When you have finished the above operations, you can move on to a new tree
or a different branch of the same tree.
