Safety
The harvester has been designed and built to enable the operator to use it
safely, eliminating or reducing residual risks to a minimum by the adoption
of safety devices.
However, it has not been possible to completely remove certain risks, listed
below, because they are inherent in the operation of the machine itself and
are linked to the conduct of the operator.
WARNING
The residual risks can be avoided by scrupulously following the indications
provided, both by the warnings on the components at risk and by this manual.
DANGER
RISK OF OVERTURNING
Do not use the harvester, in the various possible operating conditions, on
land with slopes greater than those indicated as maximum or on uneven or
unstable ground.
Careless use and incorrect driving can cause the tractor connected to the
machine to overturn; maintain a working or transfer speed that is suitable
for the conditions of the terrain on which you are working.
It is absolutely forbidden to start the vibration of the vibrating head while the
machine is moving; this operation is highly risky and could cause the tractor
lose stability.
DANGER
RISK OF CRUSHING OR SERIOUS INJURY
There must be no people, animals or things in the operating area of the
machine. Before moving the machine, always make sure you have the
necessary space to work safely.
Do not use the machine to transport people.
DANGER
RISK OF CRUSHING OR SERIOUS INJURY
Do not disassemble machine parts, such as cylinders, without properly
securing the moving parts, as this may cause the part to fall uncontrolled.
The lifting operations of the machine must be carried out exclusively by expert
and qualified personnel, scrupulously respecting the warnings and methods
indicated in this manual.
Check that the work area is free from unauthorized persons and/or from any
other source of danger.
DANGER
RISK OF IMPACT AND INJURY
Do not perform cleaning, adjustment and/or maintenance operations on the
machine without having worn the appropriate personal safety equipment
(PPE) provided for in this document.
DANGER
RISK DUE TO PRESSURISED OIL
Never stand or transit near the hydraulic lines. Perform cleaning, adjustment
and / or maintenance of the machine after de-pressurizing the hydraulic
lines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) referred to
in this document.
DANGER
RISK DUE TO EXHAUST GASES
Do not operate the tractor to which the machine is connected in enclosed
areas without ventilation to remove harmful exhaust fumes. The combustion
fumes produced by the tractor, if inhaled directly and continuously, can be
very dangerous and lethal for the body.
It is absolutely forbidden to connect the machine to a tractor with the fumes
exhaust without the appropriate devices required in the approval phase.
DANGER
RISK OF BURNS
Pay attention to the temperature of the liquids in the pipes and tubes during
maintenance operations. Scrupulously observe the maintenance warnings
provided for in this manual.
DANGER
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
When operating the machine, pay attention to the position of the telescopic
arm, maintaining appropriate safety distances from overhead power lines.
Pay particular attention to swinging ropes of overhead power lines in windy
conditions.
DANGER
RISK DUE TO DANGEROUS USE OF THE MACHINE
When working with artificial lighting (evening or night), diffused lighting from
above must be provided to avoid glare and the contrast between illuminated
areas and shaded areas.
DANGER
RISK DUE TO NOISE
It is absolutely forbidden to operate the machine without having worn the
specific PPE for hearing protection (headphones or disposable ear plugs).
The use of the machine by the operator without the appropriate PPE can
cause discomfort, stress or hearing loss.
DANGER
RISK OF FIRE
It is forbidden to smoke or use naked flames near the machine: these can be
a source of ignition of the oil in the hydraulic circuit. Before welding and/or
grinding the machine, make sure there are no oil leaks or the presence of
grease.
In any case, it is forbidden to use the machine in an explosive atmosphere or
in the presence of flammable or combustible substances.
DANGER
RISK OF DRAG
It is recommended not to remove any protection from the rotating parts and,
in case of damaged protections, to stop the machine until they are restored.
Do not go near the cardan shaft while it is in motion.
Do not climb over the cardan shaft for any reason.
DANGER
RISK OF CRUSHING AND/OR ENTRAPMENT
Carry out the coupling / uncoupling operations of the machine to the tractor
by carefully following the instructions provided in this manual. Always use
the personal protective equipment specified in this manual.
Never stand between the tractor and the machine!
DANGER
RISKS DUE TO THE REMOVAL OF THE MACHINE
Always connect the machine by carefully observing the warnings and
instructions provided in this manual. Periodically check the correct state and
positioning of the safety pins (cotter and split pins).
